Spectrum rides tandem with ofo Australia
Ofo Australia has appointed Sydney based Spectrum Group as their PR and comms agency.
Ofo Australia launched in October 2017 with bikes in Adelaide and has since rolled out their fleet across Sydney with plans to expand in the coming months.
Public Policy & Communications Manager for ofo Australia and New Zealand, Mitchell Price, says “after a challenging start in the Australian marketplace, particularly Sydney, we are thrilled to have Spectrum Group on board to help lead the charge with ofo’s bike sharing story.”
ofo is an important piece of the transport puzzle, and the aim is to provide a solution for the last mile commute, plus provide a healthy and environmentally friendly way for commuters, families and tourists to travel around their city.
Mr Price said: “We hope ofo’s bike sharing is enthusiastically embraced as communities come see the benefits of a last mile solution to their transport needs, and just the simple joy of riding.”
Spectrum Managing Director, Ben Shipley, said: “The team is really excited to be working with ofo and look forward to showing what they specifically offer consumers, as well as the opportunities that bike sharing presents more generally for our communities.”
Mr Shipley added: “ofo will continue to engage with the community, local councils, government and other stakeholders to ensure that they are doing everything possible to ensure bike sharing can be sustained as a transport option in Australia.
